About Me

A smiling woman in a black and white checkered dress is being filmed on the sidewalk by a professional video camera.

I’m Sloane Haines, a passionate video editor and creative marketer with a deep commitment to storytelling that creates lasting impact. With years of experience in the non-profit space and TV news, I specialize in crafting compelling narratives that elevate the voices of mission-driven organizations.

Beyond video, I offer a range of marketing services — including social media content creation, website management, newsletters, and email campaigns — all designed to help you connect with your audience and amplify your message. Whether it’s sharing inspiring stories, raising awareness, or driving meaningful action, my goal is to create emotional connections that move people and support your mission.

The Hungry T1D

Beyond the editing suite, I’m an avid traveler and food enthusiast, which I showcase with my The Hungry T1D blog. My journeys around the world influence my creative work, inspiring me to bring fresh perspectives and diverse cultural insights into each project. I believe in the power of stories to transcend boundaries—whether they’re about social good or the simple joys of life.

  • I’ll admit that I think everything needs to be perfect, but that means I put 110% effort into everything I do. No matter the project, whether for myself or others, I value feedback and constructive criticism. I like to say I am an extroverted introvert because I love to be around other people, but also value my alone time.

  • When I’m not working or planning my next trip, I’m typically reading! And if I’m not reading, I’m on a walk or cuddling on the couch with my husband, daughter and two dogs!

  • The hardest question of them all… But, my favorite book is The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. Follow me on Goodreads!
